HISTORY

The Ferrari 275 GTB/4, introduced in 1966, is an iconic grand touring sports car known for its elegance, power, and advanced engineering. Powered by a 3.3-liter V12 engine with four overhead camshafts (hence the “/4” designation), it produces 300 horsepower and offers a thrilling driving experience, reaching speeds of up to 165 mph. The 275 GTB/4 features a lightweight steel and aluminum body designed by Pininfarina, with its long nose and sleek profile emphasizing its aerodynamic prowess.

Equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and an independent rear suspension—both revolutionary for Ferrari at the time—it provided exceptional handling and comfort. Inside, the cabin is a blend of luxury and sport, often finished in fine leather with a driver-focused dashboard.

Limited to just 330 units, the 275 GTB/4 is highly sought after by collectors, prized for its rarity, beauty, and status as one of Ferrari’s greatest 1960s grand tourers. OUR 275 GTB/4

Our 1968 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 was delivered new to M.G. Crepaldi Automobili s.a.s. in Milan, Italy, as confirmed by the factory’s Vehicle Production Data. Originally finished in the sophisticated color combination of Grigio Argento Salchi over a Pelle Nera Connolly interior, this specification remains intact to this day. The factory records also verify that both the engine and gearbox are matching numbers, further confirming the car’s authenticity.

The full ownership history of chassis 10601 has been meticulously documented, thanks to a report by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini. The first owner, Emanuele Zaffagni of Milan, exported the car to Switzerland in 1969, where it was sold to Garage Goeggel in Zürich. In 1970, Peter Wiederkehr of Zürich acquired the car, followed by Angelo Pallavicini in 1973. In 1975, the 275 was sold to Albert Obrist, also of Switzerland, who fully restored it in 1979. In 1980, the car was sold to Peter Groh from Pforzheim, Germany, who registered it in Stuttgart. Later, Groh sold the 275 to Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin of Hersbruck, Germany, who owned it until at least 2018.

The current consignor, a prominent German collector, commissioned a full restoration in the car’s original colors by Cremonini, GA Modena, Officina Omega & Lupi in Italy. Chassis 10601 is currently undergoing Ferrari Classiche Certification and stands as one of the finest 275 GTB/4 four-cam models available. With its concours-worthy restoration, elegant original color scheme, and a low number of owners, this is undoubtedly one of the best examples on the market.
