HISTORY
The latest iteration of the Ford GT was developed not only to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original GT40’s 1966 triumph of Le Mans, but to return to the race and do it all over again. However, the development started very late and there was little time to develop separate race and street cars. This was great news to anyone looking to acquire one of these cars as it was and is, very close to what claimed victory in the GTE Pro class at Le Mans in the summer of 2016.
With special attention paid to aerodynamics and downforce, this GT was capable of a top speed of 216 mph, and just as superb in the corners. Ford had planned to build 200 GTs in the first model year, 2017, but produced just 138. In total there were around 1300 examples produced from 2017 until 2023.
The latest GT from Ford was delivered with a twin-turbo V-6, the most powerful EcoBoost engine the Blue Oval has ever built. The 3.5-liter engine is rated at 647 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque, putting power to the rear wheels with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 2.9 seconds, covers the quarter mile in 10.6 seconds with a top speed of 216 mph. A true supercar!

With just two owns from new this fabulous example was finished Extended Color Palette 2 Lightning Blue, Light Speed interior (Equipment Group 300A), Matte Extended Carbon Package, and Akrapovič Titanium Exhaust. It is the only known example produced in Lightning Blue with Silver Overtop Stripes and was fitted with over $100,000 of additional extras.
