The Ferrari 458 Speciale A represents the final and most focused open-top evolution of Ferrari’s naturally aspirated V8 era. Produced in strictly limited numbers, it combines the mechanical underpinnings of the 458 Speciale with the additional desirability of the open-top configuration. The Speciale A was engineered from inception to preserve structural rigidity and dynamic abilities. At its core is the 4.5-litre naturally aspirated V8, producing 605 hp at 9,000 rpm, paired with a dual-clutch transmission specifically calibrated for the lightweight model. Extensive weight reduction measures, revised suspension geometry, active aerodynamics, and Ferrari’s Side Slip Control (SSC) system were all refined further, resulting in a car that communicates with precision and clarity.
Ferrari introduced specific chassis reinforcements and recalibrated suspension settings to ensure that steering feel, balance, and high-speed stability remained intact. The result is an open car that delivers the same uncompromised performance as the fixed-roof Speciale, while offering an additional sensory dimension through the exposed V8 induction sound.
From a collector’s perspective, the 458 Speciale A occupies a particularly significant position. It is the last open Ferrari V8 to combine a naturally aspirated engine with a limited-production, track-focused specification. Its place at the end of a lineage—before turbocharging and increasing hybridisation—gives it long-term relevance beyond performance figures alone. Only 499 examples of the 458 Speciale A were made for the world, and this includes LHD and RHD, as well as US- und EU models, making it an incredibly rare car to come across.
OUR EXAMPLE
We have sold this car previously to its a second owner many years ago, who has added nearly all of the mileage. Accordingly, the car was very well serviced during his ownership, with the last services carried by official Ferrari service partners in December 2022, November 2023, and May 2025.
In pristine condition and finished in a beautifucl color combination, this Speciale Aperta is looking for a new home with us in Munich.
