A rare case of vintage design language translating effortlessly into a successful modern supercar. The SLS AMG was Mercedes’s attempt at reviving one of the cars that shaped their image over the years, the 300 SL. At the time of its presentation in 2009, it was already a modern classic, and orders poured in.
It was designed to be the ultimate Grand Tourer, and was the first car to be engineered from scratch by AMG. It was powered by the M159 which, at the time of its release, was the most powerful naturally aspirated engine on the market. Although a great success for Mercedes, the SLS coupe in its standard form was produced at relatively low numbers, around 8,000 examples. There is no denying that the SLS AMG will go on to be a highly sought after collector car, not only for its iconic looks but also for the qualities of its naturally aspirated V8.

OUR EXAMPLE
Our SLS AMG, chassis WMX197377-1A-0023157, was first registered in August 2010 in the south of France and owned by a prominent tech-entrepreneur. Finished in Iridium silver on a red and black leather interior, its odometer shows very low miles from new. The rare outings of the car over the period of eleven years didn’t discourage the owner from carrying out regular maintenance at official Mercedes-Benz dealer SAMGF, with service records from 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021, making it one of the finest examples offered for sale. Cosmetically and mechanically perfect, it is a great opportunity to acquire what is a fine low mileage example of one of Mercedes-AMG’s most succesful hits of the last decade. The car will be delivered with a set of two keys, its original leather pouch with books and manuals, its charger and its original car cover.
