90’s kids will know: Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed was an iconic game, and we all loved that game’s intro. We decided to give it a go with our own Porsche collection, enjoy this short film!
Put your headphones on and enjoy the glorious melody of the 587/3 Furhmann engine.
800kg and 200 horsepower is all you need. No driving assists, no gimmicks, just a steering wheel, an engine, a transmission, and four wheels.
The 250 SWB (for Short Wheel Base), also known as Passo Corto, needs no introduction. It is the peak of an era, considered one of Pininfarina’s prettiest creations and one of Ferrari’s ultimate driving machine, there is no doubt why this model has grown to become one of the most…
You are a tech entrepreneur in the late 80’s with a booming start-up business, you made your first million Dollar and are looking to treat yourself by buying the most technologically advanced supercar ever made. We wanted to see what it was like to drive a 959 in the middle…
We made it, we’re in America! Our new American company, Schaltkulisse NA Inc., is now catering for all car collector needs in Miami and all of the US. We are extremely excited to share with you some impressions of our Grand Opening in May 2023.
Our first cars & coffee event ever and you were many to attend with and without your cars. This is the first edition of Caffeine Injection and it won’t be the last! Look forward to many more occasions to meet up in the Munich area in the near future!
We take the Drogo-bodied Ferrari 250 GT to the Bavarian forest roads where the driving conditions are sub-optimal, to say the least. This did make up for beautiful scenery though and the Drogo came back home safe!
No background music, only the orchestra generated by the Carrera GT’s exquisite naturally aspirated V10 engine. Enjoy!
Listen to our Porsche Carrera GT unleashing its 600 horsepower V10 engine on the road. The mechanical sound the car generates is second to none and is probably the greatest sounding road-car ever made.
Every wish and need of a car collector, combined in a one-stop shop. From sourcing to sales, maintenance, detailing, storage, and so on, there is not a challenge we do not take on at Schaltkulisse.
What if Schaltkulisse made a video game? We thought we’d answer this question. This was the result!
Turn up your volume and enjoy the melody of the legendary 4-cylinder Fuhrmann engine.
This Porsche 904 Carrera GTS (officially named Carrera GTS) is one of 106 examples ever built and was delivered to Spanish racing driver Juan Fernandez. It won at almost every racing event in Spain, making it a legend in its own right.
We take the Pagani Huayra Roadster No. 80 of 100 to the forest nearby and let the 754 horsepower lose. Sounds like nothing else, drives like nothing else, and looks like nothing else.
What would Audi’s promotional video about their new Sport Quattro look like if it was filmed using Aga Khan’s personal car? Probably something similar to what you see in this video. This car being more powerful than the “standard” Sport Quattro, as Audi AG and Quattro GmbH worked their magic…
The Audi Sport Quattro was Audi’s answer to Lancia and their 037. In addition to several wins in Group B, the Sport Quattro went on to win the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with Michele Mouton at the wheel. In order to homologate the car for racing, Audi had to…
The 288 GTO marked the revival of the designation “GTO”, for Gran Turismo Omologato. In Ferrari’s world, those three letters are holy. Ferrari was looking to compete in the FIA’s Group B, now considered to be one of the most legendary eras of racing. To do so, the car needed…

The third edition of our cars and coffee, Caffeine Injection, took place at our Munich headquarter last weekend. You were over 600 to be present. 200 of you brought their prized possessions to the event. Thousands of coffees, pizzas, crêpes, ice cream, drinks, bagels, and sandwiches were consumed, and many items from our merch were sold out. Our Minty Forty products were…
The Members’ Meeting is without doubt my favourite annual Goodwood event. Whilst being the lesser-known sibling of the Festival of Speed (July) and Revival (September) it has the advantage of smaller visitor numbers and a more relaxed and authentic atmosphere. The English spring weather can be a risk, but never seems to deter the fans, even snow in 2018 didn’t stop the…
SCHALTKULISSE NORTH AMERICA CORP. IS OFFICIALLY UP AND RUNNING! We are proud to present our most recent venture: our very own Miami showroom, situated near the Design District, precisely on the 277 NE 61st St.
From the moment we presented the green F40 to the world in April 2023, the Ferrari has received a huge social media coverage, which encouraged us to drive the car even more and thus share it with more enthusiasts. Thanks to our friend Guglielmo from LARUSMIANI, we are able to display it here in Milano at The Automotive Gallery of LARUSMIANI.
The Mekkah of extravagant and rare cars is the rendezvous of the year for all automobile enthusiasts. We indulged the 9-hour time difference between Europe and California and flew there to check the auctions as well as the different events around town and of course, the highlight of the week, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Sardinia is well-known for its incredible blue water, extravagant jet-set lifestyle, and fantastic vacation destination. What it isn’t quite that well-known for is its amazing driving roads, and also since a few years now, the Poltu Quatu Classic Concours, which takes place at the heart of the island.
Rainy or not, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este will always be a must-attend event for us. It is the event where you discover cars you’ve never known existed before, enjoy their history, the quality of their restoration, their weird and beautiful design elements, and of course, it is an event where you get to meet people from all over the world, united…
We saw plenty of action in Miami this past week, not only thanks to the Formula One GP and the NBA Playoff game between the Miami Heat and NY Knicks, but also because last Thursday saw the Grand Opening of our own American showroom in the district of Magic City in Miami. After enjoying eleven years of fruitful business in Munich, Bavaria,…
It was with great pleasure that we welcomed hundreds of cars and people to our first cars and coffee event, named “Caffeine Injection”, in April of this year. With a large community in Munich but no worthy car events, we thought we would give it a go and see how the public responds. Being a rainy April, we were lucky to pick…
After last year’s disappointing event (Corona be damned), this year’s Retromobile was back to its full glory, with thousands of cars spread out on several auction venues and the main event itself. The star of the event was arguably the Ferrari 250 LM which would be auctioned at the Artcurial sale on Friday, and which unfortunately didn’t sell, with the high bid…
There aren’t many moments we feel as proud as when we see a car we curated being used as intended, especially when the car in question is an old Ferrari. You can then imagine that showing up at this year’s Ferrari Cavalcade and seeing four cars very close to our hearts eating up the miles in Italy was almost tear moving. Four…
Weaker Corona regulations meant that this year, we were finally able to pay a visit to the Mekka of collector cars, the Monterey Car Week. One week consisting of endless car events and auctions, and for all tastes and wallets. All big auctions, such as RM Sotheby’s, Mecum, Bonhams, Gooding, and the new Broad Arrow auction, as well as some of the…
We’ve been looking forward to this weekend for months – and it was so worth it! The 1st Schaltkulisse Golf Open at the Quellness & Golf Resort Bad Griesbach was a complete success. In every sense. Our charity event weekend had many facets: the twisty-backroad-journey from the Schaltkulisse showroom in Taufkirchen to Bad Griesbach, the get-together in the cozy Penninger Alm.
Like every year, collectors from all around the world prepare for THE European event of the year. Cars get polished, documents are collected and arranged in leather folders, history files are written, and clothes and tuxedos are being tailored for the event, which goes on for two days. The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is by far the most prestigious event in Europe.
Sourced from the South of France and curated over the span of several decades, Schaltkulisse is proud to offer this fine collection of automobiles for acquisition. The collector cars presented here were once all owned by one of the most prominent American tech-entrepreneurs, who enjoyed them occasionally on the dry and sunny roads of the south of France. These are without exception.
It was a dream we had from the beginning: owning a workshop of our own. We’re glad to report that this year, finally, after long periods of planning and looking for the right location and people, we have achieved this goal. We can now call the workshop ours. Situated 500 meters from our showroom, the workshop, together with our storage area, cover…

MEET THE TEAM
Paul’s love of all things automotive runs deep. A childhood spent devouring books and magazines and weekends spent at local car shows left an indelible mark. Aged 12 he was fortunate to meet a local collector whose generous spirit and infectious enthusiasm allowed him to experience running cars at Goodwood, Monaco and Silverstone, and learn about many of the great marques. Despite not planning to pursue a career with cars, when the opportunity arose shortly after he graduated from....
After drooling over pictures of cars and their performance figures in magazines as a child, and observing every little detail of his scaled model of a 288 GTO which he was gifted as a small boy for being brave at the dentist, Kevin’s dream of owning his own car business was stuck in his mind, so much so that after working for a few years at Ferrari Financial Services, he left everything behind, and with just about enough funds to found a company, he created Schaltkulisse in 2010.…
Joining Schaltkulisse nearly 3 years ago, Rambo Akgül has made a significant impact on the team through his work in event organization and brand management. With a background in sports and event management, including an exchange semester in Sacramento, Rambo's expertise has been invaluable in organizing events such as the Miami Showroom Opening and the Schaltkulisse Golf Tournament. As someone who truly believes that "your network is your net worth," Rambo has leveraged his extensive global connections to benefit Schaltkulisse, securing fashion brand collaborations and sponsorships for events.…
As a key member of the Schaltkulisse team for more than 8 years, Juliane Braun has been instrumental in the company's development since day one. In her role overseeing event organization, she has managed significant occasions such as the Miami Showroom Opening and the Schaltkulisse Golf Tournament, all while helping to make Schaltkulisse GmbH a globally recognizable brand. Growing up in a family that owned a motorcycle shop, Juliane has always been surrounded by vehicles. A memorable discussion with her father at 18 about whether she even needed…
Hugh's career started within the art world at Sotheby’s, London, but his real passion was always classic automobiles and racing cars, passed to him by his father who was a keen Porsche and Aston Martin collector and racer. Hugh spent many successful and competitive years behind the wheel of some special racing cars throughout Europe, including spending a number of years instructing with Silverstone Circuit Racing School in the UK and time in British GT3. It was inevitable that he found himself working more with classic cars than…
Stefan is Schaltkulisse’s newest addition and team member of our Engineering department. Like many bitten by the car virus, he pursued an automotive mechatronics apprenticeship and earned a master technician title thereafter. He started his professional career in 2015 in the legendary halls of BMW Classic in Munich where he stayed until 2017, an occupation during which he was on the road, a lot, as part of the Service Team fort he Mille Miglia, Arabella Classic, and even the Festival of Speed in Goodwood. He then joined the…
Amin can vividly remember himself going on walks with his parents and naming all the cars parked on the streets by their names, from a distance. For as long as he can remember, he has loved cars with a passion. His whole life is an embodiment of this love story, and the scaled models of a Jaguar XJ220 and a Bugatti EB110 he received from his parents as a kid reinforced his curiosity about supersports cars. Born in Paris to a Tunisian family and growing up in both…
Michelle is Schaltkulisse’s youngest team member. When she’s not busy practicing ballett with kids, Michelle takes care of our media design. She joined our office in Munich in April 2021 as a dual student at the IU in Munich to gain professional experience and has been since then making sure that our ads, books, invitations, and everything we print or send, looks the part. She loves to create and makes sure that everything that represents us is visually pleasing. She is responsible for creating invitations for our events.
Sylvia joined Schaltkulisse in 2014 in the backoffice as an assistant. She manages to take off loads of work off the shoulders of the management, and works her way around the whole office-headache, things like, *cough cough*, the complicated German paperwork. She’s always happy to give a hand, even when she is busy at home building her new terrace, she’s happy to answer our calls and messages and quickly reacts to urgent matter. Sylvia likes to live life on the fast lane, when she’s not driving her Audi…
James has been a key member of Schaltkulisse for as long as we can remember. Don’t be fooled by his oldschool Bavarian attitude and his sometimes dark humour, because James does mean business. If you call him in the middle of the night and tell him that a car needs to be transported to the north of Denmark by tomorrow evening, he will literally get ready and hit the road in the same hour, to bring the car safe and sound before sunset. Such is his dedication and…
For Fabian, the passion for everything technical and mechanical began at the age of just five, as he was introduced to motocross. Taking part in competitions with his bike meant he had to work on it, a lot, and during 15 years of heavy involvement in motorsport, his interest in bikes and cars grew, and thanks to his understanding of cars and engines, and his talented hands, he decided to make a living out of it. Just after school, he decided to pursue his dream and become a…
Even though still in his 20’s, Sebastian has earned himself his position as the master technician of our Engineering department. No wonder, he was born with a screwdriver in his hand (not literally) and feeds on the smell of gasoline coming out of the exhaust pipes of classic Ferrari’s and such. His journey started by fixing, repairing, and modifying his bicycle, then his scooter, then his motorbike, and then he worked his way up to cars. His passion for automobiles and especially for the classic ones comes mainly…
