The 328 was introduced to the world in 1985, with a design signed by Pininfarina. It was available as a coupe or as a targa, named the GTS, with removable roof section. Powered by a 3.2-litre V8 developping 270 horsepower, transferring the power to the wheels using a five-speed gated manual gearbox, the 328 was far from being a slow car. In total, 6,068 examples of the GTS were produced.
OUR 328 GTS
Our example, chassis 81288, was delivered new through Auto Becker in Germany, in June 1989. It was finished in Rosso Corsa over a Nero leather interior, its original color combination which it still retains to this day. According to its original German title from 1989, the car had only two owners, both in Germany. The first owner registered the car in Iserlohn while the second owner, who acquired the car in 1991, registered it in Wuppertal, making this example a rarity with a very low number of caretakers. We sold the car to its third German owner eight years ago who didn’t register it and kept it in storage among his collection of Ferrari’s. Its service book shows a service in 1989 carried out by Bremer & Co. and a service including timing belt in 2011 carried out by LUEG Sportivo GmbH, at which time the car only had 12,787 km on the clock. In October 2017, the car benefitted from the knowledge of Tom Fischer in Brannenburg and received an engine oil change as well as a brake fluid change at 12,982 km. Our state-of-the-art Engineering department took care of doing a full service incl. timing belts in June 2022 and therefore, the car is ready to be enjoyed in piece of mind. In November 2015, the car was awarded a Ferrari Classiche Certificate, which states that the car is still finished in ist original color combination, and is fully matching numbers. The 328 GTS comes with optional ABS. Today, the car is presented in a condition which can only be described as virtually new, as it has only travelled just below 13,500 km. For someone who wants to add a perfect 328 to his collection of Ferrari’s or youngtimers, this is the car to buy. Absolutely mint.
