Ferrari

Presented in 1976 as the successor to the 365 GT4 BB, the 512 BB was the further development of the first 12-cylinder mid-engine sports car from Ferrari. Smaller changes such as four instead of a total of 6 taillights, the front spoiler or the tank cap on the rear left differ from the predecessor.

A total of around 929 512BB were produced within 5 years of construction. Originally delivered to Charles Pozzi in France in 1979, the car, like so many 512s, was immediately exported to the USA.

The first owner, Charles Johnson owned the car until 1990, when it was sold to the second owners, Greg and Dan Decaster. The third owner, Richard Resch, bought chassis # 29943 in 1996 and looked after the car for another 20 years. In 2010 this 512BB finally found its way back home and was sold to a German collector of classic Ferrari. In 2015 the owner decided to have the car restored under the well-known Ferrari world name.

Toni Auto, directly opposite the old factory store in Maranello, took over the direction and took care of the execution of the work. In addition to the paintwork and the interior, the technology was of course completely overhauled. Invoices for the work at Toni Auto are available. After completion, the car received the blessing of the Ferrari Classiche department and was issued the Classiche certificate. In addition to the certificate, the old logbook and checkbook, the receipts of the restoration work are also available.

29943 is in excellent condition today and from our point of view is the ideal entry into the drivable world of classic Ferraris. The low number of units, the condition and the good drivability of the boxers allow us to look positively into the future of these vehicles.
