Ferrari F50 #105081
The F50 had a hard act to follow, for it was the successor to the F40 – one of the most legendary sports cars of all time. It has graceful lines, open headlights and a removable roof. In fact, these initial – and at any rate, controversial attributes – have made the F50 stand out among super sports car ranges today. The 520 PS engine is based on the Formula 1 motors of the early 1990s. Only 349 such cars were made, making the F50 a particularly sought-after item for every collection orientated towards the Cavallino Rampante.
Our F50 in classic rosso corsa and black interior was first sold by the Autohaus Ulrich, Frankfurt, on 20.06.1996. After chassis #105081 had spent its early years in Germany with its first owner, it found its way to England. From 2005, it was regularly serviced by Graypaul, the official Ferrari dealer in Nottingham. Many receipts document the extent of the regular maintenance work. In 2016, the car returned to Germany, as part of a renowned collection of historic and modern Ferraris of different periods. The new owner will be able to enjoy going some distance with this icon of the 1990s – without fear of immediately depreciating its value, for it currently has just 22 440 km on the speedometer. The low mileage and meticulous care from previous owners (particularly the most recent) mean it enjoys an exceptional overall condition. The finish is beautifully kept, its evidently carbon structure protected by a transparent PPF stone splinter protection film. The original vehicle document folder, logbook and a Classic Ferrari Certificate are supplied, as are the complete set of keys and the hardtop box.
A markedly well-cared-for example with low mileage and complete service history. The only Ferrari supercar without a fixed roof, and good genes – as in Formula 1, the 12 cylinder is combined with manual transmission. These qualities are now extinct, and will attract considerable attention in the near future. A model with a long and bright future.
