Following the huge success of the 911R, Porsche introduced the Touring as the manual-only version of the 911 GT3. Just like the R, the GT3 Touring was an instant hit. The Touring kept the same suspension and engine setup as the conventional GT3, but got rid of the spoiler for a more subtle looks. Praised by the press as one of the best Porsche’s and therefore one of the best driver’s cars ever made for the road, its reputation as an excellent weekend car still follows it today. Top Gear host Chris Harris was so impressed by the Touring that he even bought one for himself, and after putting around 50,000 miles on it, he still thinks it’s the perfect car. After all, with an engine capable of reaching revolutions up to 9,000 rpm, there’s no denying that the Touring is a very special car.

Our Porsche 991 GT3 Touring was delivered through the factory in Zuffenhausen in April 2018. Finished in the classy and understated color combination of chalk (Kreide) over a black leather and fabric interior with some of the most desirable options for Porsche’s most driver-oriented 991: full-bucket seats, sport chrono, and front lift system. The first owner, a doctor, took delivery of the car and kept it for around eight months, before passing it on to the current owner in December 2018 with 8,550km on the clock. A pre-purchase 111 point-check inspection at Porsche Zentrum 5 Seen was carried out and the warranty extended for two years. Since then, the car has only been driven on a few occasions and the mileage has only increased by 1,700km. Included in the sale is the leather pouch with documents and service book, invoices, and a set of two keys .

The GT3 Touring marked a back-to-the-basics approach from Porsche and was highly praised and hyped from the press. It is a rare case of a justified hype, as the driving experience is like nothing else on the market. In a time where manual transmissions are rare, the Touring comes at the right spot to bring driver’s involvement to another level. Beside being an incredible machine, the prices have been extremely stable over the past few years and they are expected to stay stable in the future as well. After all, it is one of Porsche’s best efforts and most loved models.
