2009 – The Idea
Founder & CEO Kevin Braun decided to pursue his dream of creating the leading brand in the collector automobile sector. With a small loan from his grandmother, he embarqued on the journey to create his vision of the business.

2010 – The Birth – Ottobrunn, Bavaria
After a year of planning, Schaltkulisse GmbH was born in April of 2010. The office and showroom were located in Ottobrunn near Munich, sharing the building with a tire-shop. The beginnings were simple and modest, but the vision of the future was clear and palpable.
2015 – Ferrari-Only Auction – Ottobrunn, Bavaria
One of the company’s first big projects was a cooperation with auction house Auctionata to bring one of the first auctions of rare automobiles to Munich. The sale included 27 lots, such as a 275 GTB, F40, F50, FXX…

2018 – New showroom – Taufkirchen, Bavaria
The relocation to a new showroom in Taufkirchen was set in motion by our desire to design the space around the cars. Inspired by English architecture, the showroom offers a heart-warming and welcoming atmosphere where the automobiles are the centre piece.
2021 – Schaltkulisse Engineering – Taufkirchen, Bavaria
Our need to maintain our classic- and modern sportscars to a high standard meant the logical next step was to take full control of that aspect. Schaltkulisse Engineering was born and counts some of the most passionate and talented mechanics in its team.

2022 – Schaltkulisse Storage Facility – Taufkirchen, Bavaria
Right next to our state-of-the-art workshop lies our storage facility. Our own cars as well as customer cars are stored in this high-security facility.

ten full-time employees

2023 – Schaltkulisse North America Corp. – Miami, Florida
The USA has always been on our radar as an important part of the global market, having waited for the perfect moment to expend beyond Europe we started work on our American division in 2022. Schaltkulisse North America Inc. opened its doors at the end of 2023.
